Hi there, it's me. On the right. No, your other right. I'm the cute brunette enjoying chocolate ice cream in a swimsuit. Sure, that's an old picture - I'm grown now, but besides being trapped in an adult body, I'm essentially the same. I love dogs and ice cream, imagining new worlds and exploring this one. I dive headfirst into everything I do, even if it means my hands get a little sticky sometimes. 

Since this photo was taken, I've been an animal shelter volunteer, a camp counselor, a journalist, an editor, a writer and a creative director. Oh, and I worked at Bath and Body Works one summer, but I try not to think about it too often. Take a look around at some of the stuff I've made! I think it's pretty neat.

I’m Brooke.

I was was born in the wild west (somehow the phrase “I’m from Phoenix” doesn’t have quite the same effect) and now live with my husband and daughters in Dallas.

I’ve worked hard for tens of years to become a multi-thousandaire writing about everything under the sun, from hot rods to hospitals. Now for some fast facts:

  • I’ve sipped whiskey with John Hamm

  • I’ve appeared in Rolling Stone Magazine

  • I’m a former Olympic diver.
